We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who is hands-on, technology proficient, and can lead, define, and deliver innovative Check Fraud Detection solutions for our customers.
The ideal candidate will model “good” product management and be a strong, principled operator. You will balance expectations and delivery from both internal and external stakeholders. You should have an abundance and growth mindset, be comfortable with ambiguity, and be able to work cross-functionally to coordinate, clarify and align the rest of the organization.
The role will own product planning and delivery throughout the product lifecycle, including: defining the product vision, gathering and prioritizing product requirements, and working closely with engineering, research, sales, marketing, customer support and customer success to productize revenue and customer satisfaction goals, as well as ensure that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
Essentially, the candidate will own the “what” for the Check Fraud Detection product line and influence the “how”.
What You Will Do (Core Responsibilities):
- Define product planningand work with internal project stakeholders from marketing, sales, operations, and executive management to translate business needs into a product to address the needs of the check fraud market.
- Create deep and meaningful collaboration with marketing, external customers, sales, support and other stakeholders to drive product roadmaps.
- Work with designers, developers (both locally and remotely), and subject matter experts to get project requirements well scoped, designed and built.
- Work with engineering, researchers, and data science to analyze data in order to optimize the product in pursuit of an improved customer experience and other performance metrics.
- Work with other PMs on inter-connected products and technologies.
- Utilize Mitek standard PM and agile processes, workflows, tools and systems.
- Monitor and understand the key metrics, with an eye toward continuously improving them through ongoing product innovation.
- Establish product delivery timelines in close collaboration with the engineering team.
- Responsible for keeping on top of competitive landscapes and strategies.
- Collaborate with product marketing to understand customer needs and create external market collateral.

- Organized, detail oriented, and able to manage several concurrent deliverables.
- Experience managing complex product development cycles and highly technical solutions.

- Proven time management and prioritization skills with an articulation of best practice techniques.
What You Need (Qualifications):
- At least 5 years' experience in banking, banking technology, or other high-volume transaction processing. Ideally, this would be focused on fraud, either investigations, prevention, or other relevant experiences.
- Experience in end-to-end ownership of a product.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Track record of Customer obsession and innovation.
- Demonstrated domain expertisein the area of check operations and check fraud in the U.S. banking or banking software product industries.
- Knowledge of banking regulations.
- Check operations experience.
- Demonstrated experience building software products in an Agile environment, working on complex workflows and integrations.
- Experience with defining and managing customer-facing APIs and working on developing customer-facing user interfaces.
What would be nice (preferred skills & experience):
- Understanding of computer vision, AI, and machine learning.
