The SEC Reporting Manager will participate in external financial reporting. Primary responsibilities include preparation of Form 10-K/10-Q, Proxy Statement, Forms 3 & 4, 8-K and internal financial reporting. The role will collaborate closely with GL Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Legal, People Ops, and other operational departments within the Company to understand, proactively review, and provide guidance, to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results.

What You Will Do (Essential Responsibilities):

  • Ensure all financial information is complete and accurate for timely external and internal financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly and annual deliverables.
  • Perform detailed reviews of all disclosure support prior to filing.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of SEC reporting including completion of disclosure checklists, data gathering, tie-out of financial statements and review of XBRL tagging.
  • Prepare draft SEC reporting and processes, including but not limited to the preparation of Form 10-K/10-Q, Proxy Statement, 8-K filings, Forms 3 & 4 and internal reporting.
  • Maintain effective controls around SEC reporting ensuring compliance with all SOX requirements for all supporting schedules.
  • Facilitate the review of Financial Statements with external auditors, the Executive Leadership Team, and other operational leaders as needed.
  • Continuously review and improve processes to streamline the preparation of SEC filings.
  • Assist with monthly close as needed.
  • Prepare draft responses for audits and reviews.
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships and serve as a key business partner with GL Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Legal and HR to ensure that all transactions are properly reflected in the financial statements.
  • Support ad hoc requests as required.

What You Will Need (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting.
  • Knowledge and skills typically associated with 8+ total years of relevant accounting with 5+ of those years being in SEC reporting.
  • Proficient and thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting rules.
  • Experience using Wdesk or other SEC reporting software.

What Would Be Nice (Preferred Skills):

  • Public accounting experience.
  • Global public company experience.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite (or other cloud-based general ledger system).

$120,000 - $150,000 a year
